Duke Of Edinburgh Award
For pupils in Year 9 and 10, we are proud to offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE)—a nationally recognised programme that supports young people in developing independence, resilience, leadership, and a strong sense of personal responsibility.
Through participation in the DofE Award, pupils engage in four key areas:

-
Volunteering – giving their time to help others or improve their community
-
Physical Activity – committing to regular sport, dance, or fitness to improve their health and wellbeing
-
Skills – learning something new or building on an existing interest such as cooking, photography, or music
-
Expedition – planning and completing a self-sufficient journey as part of a team, usually involving hiking and camping
The DofE programme is more than just an award—it’s a personal journey that equips pupils with lifelong skills, boosts self-esteem, and enhances future education and employment prospects. Whether it’s helping others, pushing physical boundaries, or navigating the great outdoors, students are challenged to grow in character and confidence every step of the way.

As a Christian school, we see the DofE as a meaningful opportunity for pupils to live out our values—serving others, showing perseverance, and developing the God-given gifts and character described in the fruit of the Spirit.
