Pupil Wellbeing

What is wellbeing?

"Wellbeing" means how you feel about your life, such as being happy, healthy, and safe. It's about having good feelings in your body and mind, feeling good about yourself, having friends, and being able to learn and have fun. It means feeling balanced and ready for your day because your physical, mental, emotional, and social needs are being met.
We can measure our welling off:

-
How you feel inside: It's about your feelings, moods, and emotions, both good and bad, and knowing that it's okay to have all kinds of feelings.
-
Being healthy and strong: This includes taking care of your body with healthy food, exercise, and sleep, and feeling strong.
-
Having friends and family: It's about having people who love you, care about you, and are there to support you.
-
Feeling safe and in control: This means feeling safe at home, school, and in your community, and having routines that help you feel stable.
-
Being able to be yourself: It's about feeling happy being you, having time for your hobbies, and being able to express yourself and your interests.

We all go through times where we need more support. If you are feeling like this and would like a friendly person at school to talk to then our Pastoral Support team, lead by Mrs Black, can help. You may benefit from a chat, some time working outside or you may need more specialist support.
