RELIGIOUS STUDIES

Religious Studies at Trinity Christian School encourages students to explore, question, and understand the world’s major religions and ethical viewpoints. Our curriculum promotes tolerance, empathy, and critical thinking, helping students to engage thoughtfully with diverse beliefs and values. Both the Key Stage 3 and 4 courses aim to:

-
develop knowledge and understanding of major world religions.
-
explore philosophical and ethical questions such as the existence of God, the nature of good and evil, human rights, and the problem of suffering.
-
encourage respectful dialogue and appreciation of different beliefs, cultures, and traditions.
-
promote self-reflection and moral development in a supportive environment.

GCSE Religious Studies at Trinity Christian School follows the AQA Specification, which offers a comprehensive and thought-provoking study of religion, philosophy, and ethics. The course encourages students to develop their understanding of two major world religions; Christianity and Judaism, and apply this knowledge to modern moral issues. It culminates with 2 examinations at the end of Year 11.
